Wire Harness & Cable Assembly Material Sourcing Solution
Cableteque combines your inventory, contract pricing and live distributor pricing in one view, then selects the best source for every part at every quantity break.
Inventory, contract pricing and distribution in one view
Every BOM line shows on-hand inventory, negotiated manufacturer pricing and real-time offers from TTI, Heilind, Mouser, Digi-Key and the major wire distributors.
Inventory as a source
Unallocated ERP inventory appears alongside distributor offers and can be included or excluded per quote.
Supplier RFQs
Generate an RFQ for selected parts and send it from your own email. Supplier responses in any format are matched to the BOM automatically.

Your negotiated pricing, not catalog pricing
Cableteque connects to each distributor with your own API key and returns your account pricing in minutes, without waiting for quotes from inside sales.
Real-time stock and lead time
Stock on hand and manufacturer lead time are shown for every offer, so delivery commitments are based on current data.
Price breaks, MOQs and multiples
The correct price break is applied at each quantity. Excess from MOQs is calculated and shown as an amortized price or a separate charge.

Source selection based on your purchasing rules
Set priorities for price, lead time, preferred vendors, inventory use and material due date. Auto-pick selects a source for every part at every quantity break.
Different sources per quantity break
Prioritize available stock for prototype quantities and lowest price for production volumes.
Buyer review
Buyers can review all offers for any part and override any selection. Parts without a source are listed separately.

Consolidated BOM
Requirements for the same part across all assemblies in a quote are combined to reach better price breaks.
Unit-of-measure conversion
Wire and cable by the spool, labels by the roll and heat shrink by the stick are converted to the unit you quote in.
Wire and cable pricing
Live pricing from wire and cable distributors, including WireMasters, AWC and Anixter, in addition to connector distributors.
Saved supplier quotes
Supplier quotes are stored after upload and applied automatically to future quotes for the same part.
Material due date
Set a required date to see which parts can be delivered in time before committing to a customer delivery date.
Refresh
Reprice an entire quote from current inventory, contract, distributor and supplier quote data in about five minutes, at PO confirmation or on requote.

What wire harness teams say about Cableteque
“Quotes that used to take weeks are now done in days, and we’ve already won new business because we can respond faster.”
Before Cableteque, a normal quote took at least five days, and when things got busy, the queue could mean waiting a month just for a quote. Now, we’ve cut that time in half, and the backlog is gone.
“Cableteque has transformed the way we at Nortech approach the quoting process.”
The software’s ability to quickly process drawings, identify material requirements, and enable faster quote development has been a major advantage for our team. … Overall, their support model is among the best I’ve experienced in my career.
“It's not uncommon to do a quote on the same day that we receive it.”
We used to turn down a lot of RFQs. Now we just turn those in one to two days, and we can compete in those types of RFQs. More swings at the plate potentially get you more base hits.
The rest of the quoting workflow
Four steps, one quote. Each step picks up exactly where the last one left off.

Frequently asked questions
Which distributors does Cableteque connect to?
The major wire harness distributors and wire and cable suppliers, including TTI, Heilind, Avnet, Arrow, Mouser, Digi-Key, FDH, PEI, WireMasters, Anixter and AWC.
Does Cableteque return our negotiated pricing?
Yes. You connect with your own API keys, so each distributor returns your account pricing. Where you don't have an account, standard pricing is shown.
How is manufacturer pricing handled, such as Amphenol or Glenair?
Manufacturers generally do not offer API connections. Upload contract pricing as an Excel price list, or send an RFQ from Cableteque.
Can Cableteque read supplier quotes in their own format?
Yes. Upload the response as received. Cableteque reads it, matches the parts and saves the pricing for future quotes.
Is API pricing the lowest price available?
API pricing reflects the price in the distributor's system. For high-cost parts, sort by extended cost and send RFQs to negotiate further.
Can Cableteque use our inventory?
Yes. Inventory can be loaded per site by Excel, API or scheduled data transfer. It appears as its own source and can be included or excluded per quote.
Can each quantity break use a different vendor?
Yes. For example, prototype quantities can prioritize available stock while production quantities prioritize price.
What happens to parts that can't be sourced?
They are listed in an unsourced tab, where you can send an RFQ, choose an alternate or correct the part number.
How long does setup take?
Two to four weeks. Obtaining API keys from distributors usually takes the longest, and our team assists with the requests.
What happens after material is priced?
The quote moves to labor estimation.
